Also, even if you are freelancing you would not need to have some form of emergency fund. Income from doing freelance work is not fixed as working in the corporate world. This fund is for those days only when you don't have projects going on.

The road to become self employed is actually not that hard. It takes a lot of courage and strategy to be a successful, happy and satisfied boss of your own work.
