Anyone Can Walk Themselves into Health and Better Lives
The simplicity of walking for fitness phenomenal. We already do it. You walk to your car. You walk at church. You walk to get into work. Start easy and work up. The amount of gain you have compared to the sacrifice you make is very much in your favor. One solid hour of walking everyday, will have benefit everybody you know. You will become a better and more productive person. JUST DO IT!

Thanks goodness i finally learned. The solution was so simple.
It was July October of 1988 and i stepped on the scale and saw number i care not to repeat. I like many other people and looked for months for a way to actually lose weight that made sense. Some programs were so complicated success was not going to happen, and many logic just did not apply. And then I learned about walking. Everybody can walk. I can walk. No excuses can be made there. I walk to church, and walk to the store. Everybody does. It does not require visiting a gym, or buying memberships. At the time I lived in California, so weather was not factor; I was instructed to start walking for 20 minutes a day, and the increase by 5 minutes every week until I was walking one full hour everyday. Atthough the time of day does not matter, I found early morning was best for me. Along with common sense eating my body dropped over 160 pounds in 9 months. Hey, do you think I had some fun looking up old friends? Yeah, you bet I did.
Why did such a simple bodily function work so effectively? One was I did change some eating habits. And that is not easy for most, but the walking gave me the necessary mindset to do so. Our bodies take on dieting as a danger. It thinks we are starving, so it goes into defense and instead of BURNING FAT, in actually STORES FAT. This is why diets virtually work. Our bodies refuse to co operate even when we are trying so hard. So I kept on walking, and while I walked a very strange thing happened to me. I mind became thin. Sure I was still a dough boy, but my mind thought otherwise. IN my head I was thin. While walking I visualized my coworkers reactions, and my family as well. At night as I was calming down for rest, I would let my mind wander, let my head visual I was thin. Included were not just thoughts and pictures, but he actual feelings I was going to express. Another good habit that was brought on by walking. After I had met my goal, I still continued to walk one hour a day. Later we moved to Utah where weather is anything but consistent and i found that it did not matter. I just put on a coat and went walking. My body had become a walking machine. One morning I walked in 24 inches of snow. My legs had gotten so strong, it was nothing. I am a Network Marketer by profession now. I believe that my venture in learning how to walk for exercise helped me develop the necessary for that business. By the way, this is a great tool in staying fit, and helping others do the same. Walking is certainly my favorite form of exercise! (TV watching doesn't count as exercise, right?)
