You don't have to go all out with this, but just be sure they are not looking unkempt and unsightly. Take time to trim down the shrubs and bushes that are growing close to your house. Light has a good effect on people so you'll want natural light to be streaming unrestricted through the windows.

If a prospective buyer is looking at your house at night, turn on every light in your house. Turn on all exterior lights as well. Lighting has magical effects on people, which is to say it is all positive, so you want everything in your home to have a positive effect on your potential buyer. If you have sliding doors or entrance ways, make sure they're open. There shouldn't be any debris in the tracks. You want to open all the doors because it helps to make rooms look larger, as the light will also illuminate more space which is a desirable effect.
