Gathering emergency supplies, knowledge and skills: Have you thought of it? If not, you should.

As today's world pushes on to become "smaller and smaller", with global connections, events, and scenarios all bringing about endless possibilities, the chance that you and I will face some type of an "emergency" situation in the foreseeable future is increasingly probable. Natural disasters, economic declines, pandemics, terrorist activities, war, civil unrest (even the entire collapse of society) are all not only possible, but are events actually taking place right now somewhere around the globe. By having this realization, more and more people are contemplating, researching, and gathering emergency supplies, knowledge and skills. Are you one of them?

More and more individuals are realizing that it is an increasingly dangerous risk to bury their head in the sand and say "Well, that will never happen here-- or will never happen to us". Doing so means taking a terrible and unnecessary chance against disaster, hardship, and even death for not only themselves, but for their families. I can feel it in my gut." Such sentiments are usually followed by some type of bleak outlook, such as. "Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do, or where to even start. I do don't have any emergency supplies or knowledge." ... Fortunately, there are good, reliable, educated sources that can help.

Ask someone who has actually put in the time and recourses to gather emergency supplies how they feel about having done so, and they will undoubtedly respond with feeling of consolation. It is a huge comfort to have basic and essential emergency supplies, such as food and water supplies, clothing, survival gear, and financial contingencies ready for both yourself, in addition to for those that are closest to you-- just in case. And, such attitudes of relief only increase as greater levels of personal preparedness are actually in place.

If you have not yet thought seriously about obtaining at least the basic emergency supplies, or if you have contemplated it, but simply have not taken the time to act on such promptings, I would urge you to do so. Take it from one who has been fortunate to have emergency supplies in place when they were needed: Being without them may not only lead to serious regret, it may mean life or death ...
