A Christian means a follower of Jesus Christ. It means that a person lives his life based on the teachings of the Bible. It means being a disciple of Jesus Christ heeding to his every instruction. Being a Christian is not easy. They always say that it is even impossible to be one. No one person can go with his life following whatever the Bible is saying, without going crazy or being frustrated. Christianity is thus, impossible.

It is true, Christianity is impossible. It can not be done even by the most noble and nicest person. That is the reason why the Father in heaven sent his son to earth. In Christianity it is believed that Jesus actually arrived in the world to redeem its sins -past future and present. It is not through man's ways that he will be pardoned, but through the grace of their savior.

A Christian is a person who is a disciple of Jesus Christ. The origin of this goes way back from a couple millenniums ago. Over 2000 years ago, a Child in Bethlehem was born. He was born in a manger because they were escaping from the wrath of the King who, after finding out that Jesus Christ was born, ordered that all babies be killed. That King knew that Jesus Christ is who the prophets have prophesied to come and take over as real king. In fear of being oust from his seat on the throne, every new born child was ordered to be murdered.

Mary and Joseph were able to escape from Jerusalem because they were warned in a dream that if they do not, their baby will be killed. Jesus Christ was born in a manger in Bethlehem and his story began from there. He started revealing himself and making known his teachings when he was about 30 years old. And all his teachings from then onwards are written and made known to the world in the form of the Bible's New Testament. This is the basis of the beliefs of Christians.

Christians live by the words in the Bible, specifically, the ones in the New Testament. The Bible is a Christian's manual. It is their source of instructions. IT is their guide to living a life that is pleasing to their creator.

All is possible to Jesus Christ who gives them strength. This is one of the most common statements that Christians believe in. Being a Christian is not easy. It is not something that can be done easily. As a matter of facts, it is something that is not possible of being accomplished. There are so many teachings and instructions in the Bible. There are just so many commands. So how do Christians do it?

The first and greatest commandment is to Love thy God with all you heart, mind, soul and understanding. The second greatest commandment is to love thy neighbor as yourself. If a Christian is able to do this, all else will follow.
