Mix vinegar with water, but mix apple cider with hydrogen peroxide. Either of them could be made in a ratio of 1:1. Soak each affected fingernail for 15 to 30 minutes. For precautionary measures, soak the unaffected fingernails too but for a shorter period of time. Vapor rubs and mouthwash products are also good in fighting off fungal infections, though these could be more of a first aid especially if you're finding it hard to have the time to see the doctor.

It isn't very hard to treat toenail fungus, but it takes time and this is where many people fail . The nails are hard to penetrate and even the most potent vinegar solutions would have nothing against the fungi if it couldn't even get to them. Severe cases of onychomycosis where the nail is thickened and thus harder to penetrate could be very hard to deal with, and going to the doctor shall be done as soon as you feel any pain or discomfort on your toes.
