This concept was first seen on some of Lowell's early designs and she used a cutout dog shape that has bright colours and perfectly matches the leather trim of the bag. These radley bags became so in-demand that they have quickly sold out as soon as it hit the stores. The founder and creator of these handbags then decided, through the advise of her sales team, to place the dog on all the designs.
Sale after sale started pouring in and by 2002, Lowell Harder took over the Tula Company after the successful buy out made her the biggest shareholder. It was at this time that she marketed her own signature bag called the "Radley Picture Bag".
Ten years later, Lowell's small creative outlet became one of the leading companies in the United Kingdom that produces and sells luxurious, stylish and elegant handbags at more affordable cost. Radley & Co is now producing a wide range of products including handbags, umbrellas, purses, scarves as well as sunglasses. The great attention to detail that goes with the manufacturing of these radley bags speak for themselves which makes it easy for anyone to see why this brand has become such a huge success over the years.
