Video games with women in bikini are highly popular, obviously due to the raging hormones of male-dominated consumers. Onechanbara is one such game. It has beautiful, busty women in bikinis that wield cool weapons. One other popular game feature is the appearance of zombies. Players, for some inexplicable reason, always like killing undead zombies in hordes, and this game sure has plenty of it.
The principal charaters are Saki and Aya, sexy babes who go on a killing spree against hordes of brain-eating undead. They use jaw-dropping swords for this purpose while clad in skimpy bikini. It is not advisable to ask why they should not dress more decently; after all, video games are hardly the venue for realistic scenarios. This bikini thing is simply geared to motivate adolescent, sexually repressed, nerdy male players. The same goes for Aya's large cowboy headgear. One needs to suspend disbelief in an immensely unrealistic situation if the game is to be appreciated. After all, there really are no brain-eating zombies that attack humans in real life. Those kinds of zombies are reserved for horror flicks, The Walking Dead, and video games like this. In truth, real life zombies are simply drugged individuals staring off into space and walking aimlessly in the streets of Haiti. Yes, real zombies are quite harmless.
Reality aside, however, the game is fun. It can be played with a companion, and the characters seem to have a relatively unlimited ability to level up in terms of abilities, powers, combos and the like. The landscape scenarios are also pretty vast. There are a lot of areas that players can go to. As with many other modern video games, keys are needed, requirements should be met, and enemies have to be eliminated in order to advance in level. One particularly good point is that the zombies regenerate whenever a player walks back into a location where he has previously whacked them all off. This reduces the boredom that can ensue from going back and forth into empty rooms.
Fortunately, a detailed map is given to assist in getting around, so that wounds can be healed, rest taken, and recuperation made. There is also a lot of elements of role playing. And an interactive load screen featured in low-tech graphics actually adds to the fun.
Aside from Saki and Aya, there are also unlockable characters, such as Annna. Annna (yes, there are three 'n's) does not wield swords, but instead likes to use a good variety of kick-ass guns. Needless to say, she also comes in bikini. Need you ask?
For players who are a bit uncomfortable in playing their characters in scantily-clad swimwear (which is extremely doubtful, since players actually bought this game for its bikini-trotters in the first place), there is an option of dressing up the characters in any way they want. There are combinations of clothes one can have fun playing around with. Unfortunately, there is no option for the reverse. That is, one cannot remove the characters' bikinis and have them kill zombies in their birthday suits. That option is reserved for porn flicks.
There is always a downside to all video games, and this one is no exception. However, the fact that it features protagonists in bikinis makes its bad points essentially negligible.
