Don't pack any of the boards closely together because of the elements may cause the boards to swell and that will cause more problems than you started with. If your siding is properly set in, chances are you won't have any problems for years except for the fact that regular vinyl siding will fade so painting might have to go on your "to do" list. You might also want to keep your eye on how your siding contracts and expands during the seasons.
