You may have permanent scarring which is another drawback. Remember that you are treating the face and any scarring might be as unattractive as the removed wart was in the first place.

Because of these and other problems, there is some debate about whether these removal procedures should be used on children.

There are a number of over the counter gels and creams as well. There are many home remedies which have been around for years, like using duct tape, garlic, or vinegar.

Always remember that you are working with your face. A few of the non-prescription wart removers, as well as a few of the home remedies for removing warts, are very acidic and can scar the skin.
