A thousand subway passengers have been reported as victims of stealing from the start of the year up to August, compared to only 787 on the same time frame last year.

The increase in thefts has created the general subway crime to increase by 17% from the previous year. Grand thefts, which have reached its peak in the last 6 years, have increased by 27%.

Police officers have tried to solve the problem . At a police meeting last April, a police chief said that his men are trying to separate repeat criminals, like a person who had been caught eleven times for stealing electronic devices.

The kinds of people with the latest electronic devices are those who are more likely to become victims of these thefts, such as young people. These young persons are usually engrossed with their electronic devices so that they don't have time to look around at their surroundings while getting on the train. This piece of information should be taken seriously by people who value their possessions and for them to do proper actions.
