We have information about clothes dryer parts to help you
Your wife finally convinced you to go out and purchase a brand new modern clothes dryer to help keep your expensive clothes looking great. Trying to figure out exactly how to best use your new appliance is turning out to be the hardest part of the adventure. You keep looking at the panel, trying to figure out exactly what all the numbers and dials mean. Unfortunately, your clothes keep coming out of the dryer in a state of imperfection, the salesperson who sold you the appliance never mentioned. Below we talk about your modern dryer and some of the clothes dryer parts you are having trouble figuring out. After reading this article you should be able to get your modern appliance for the laundry room working as designed.
Your modern clothes dryer is in fact just a drum, which is turned by a series of belts. Inside your modern appliance is a gas heater, or in some models an electric heating element, which blows heated air through the dryer drum to dry your clothes. The drying temperature and turning speed of the drum, is in turn controlled by a series of thermostats, operated by a timing device on the control panel of your dryer. In order to provide a level of safety, engineers have added a door switch to most models, that turns your dryer on and off. If the door isn't properly closed, the dryer will not work. They have also added a reset button on the control panel, with many models. If your dryer isn't working, just let your dryer cool for a few minutes, and then push the reset button. If this doesn't work, you better get the phone book out and call a repairman to have a look.
Many modern clothes dryers also feature electronic diagnostics that you'll need your owners manual to understand. Unless you know something about electronics, it's not suggested you try to work on these clothes dryer parts. If you do decide you can handle the job, make sure to unplug the dryer, and disconnect the ground wire. Also, if you have a a dryer using natural gas, turn the supply off at the supply valve to ensure the gas is shut off.
Your modern clothes dryer is also adept at removing unwanted lint from laundry. If you don't clean the lint from lint traps, air vents, and other clothes dryer parts, your dryer will probably start working less efficiently. The lint trap is likely located in the door, under the door or somewhere on the top of your dryer. To clean, just remove it from its location and clean out the built up lint. Once this is done, just return the lint trap to the place where you found it, and make sure to do this each time you use your dry.
