Nude photos and sex videos of celebrities are among the most popular items on celebrity gossip sites. Recently, Paris Hilton was once again the subject of gossip when a nude video of her taking a bath was leaked onto the Internet. Hilton, of course, is notorious for her sex tape, 1 Night in Paris, with former boyfriend Rick Salomon. Although in past years such scandalous leaks would have spelled the end of a celebrity s career, these days they can even mean a career boost. Here are some of the most notorious celebrity nudes and videos to have leaked online.

Vanessa Hudgens was the squeaky-clean star of Disney s High School Musical TV movies, until nude photos of her surfaced on the web in 2007. While Disney released a statement saying that the young star was sorry for her lapse in judgment , more nude photos of Hudgens consequently appeared in 2009 and March 2011.

Early this year, nude photos of Blake Lively, allegedly taken on her cell phone, were leaked online by a hacker to various celebrity gossip sites. When representatives for Lively denied that the photos were real, the hacker released even more explicit photos, captioned with taunts about claims that the pictures were photoshopped.

Nude photos and sex videos of then-Miss California Carrie Prejean surfaced in the wake of controversy over her anti-gay marriage stance. The scandal eventually resulted to her being stripped of her crown.

In 2007, Kim Kardashian sued adult video producer Vivid Entertainment over ownership of a leaked sex tape featuring her and singer Ray J. However, she later settled for $5 million. In the wake of her recent marriage to Kris Humphries, the sex tape enjoyed a surge in popularity, with over two million people visiting a website that offers the video while she was tying the knot.

In August 2009, nude photos of Ashley Greene were leaked online. While there was no fallout over the scandal - she remains a cast member of the Twilight movies - it did help raise her profile as an actress.

Photos of Miley Cyrus flashing her bra first surfaced on the web in 2009, when she was still doing the TV show Hannah Montana. Recently, however, she has taken to snapping racy photos of herself in her underwear and even tweeting them on her Twitter account.

Six alleged nude photos of the singer Rihanna surfaced in May of 2009, which caused an uproar in celebrity gossip sites despite the fact that it was never officially confirmed that it was her in the pictures.

Vanessa Williams was the first African-American to be crowned Miss America  until nude photos of her appeared in Penthouse and she was stripped of her crown. Her career has recovered nicely, however, and she has since become a successful actress-singer, most recently appearing in the TV series Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives.

Kristen Davis of Sex and the City had sexually explicit photos of her leaked by her boyfriend during the run of the show. However, she pre-empted celebrity gossip sites by simply owning up to the photos, which helped deflect the impact of the scandal.
