How to write clean php code
Is your code look like mess and no one can read it after you finish it even you if this is your problem cheers up your problem is solved in this article I will show you how to easy write clean and simple code yet effective
And I will show you why this is so important
Lets start by why this is so important : first let's say you got job in a big company and you and your team working on big project so this is possible that they will want to see your code don't you think that it want to be clean code so they can read it and modify it or work on it and its not just this in some cases you will need to modify your code yourself so its need to be clean to be professional
The first step in writing clean code is commenting
Yes commenting you need to write comment in your script whenever you can but not just dummy comment but comment to explain your code so next time you will open the script file you don't need to read the actual php code
The second tip is to always write the new block of code in new line to not mess all up
Third don't try to minimize your code by deleting extra spaces never do this step always keep extra spaces to make your code clean and breath
Then always try to separate your code in different files and include them in the main file like making function.php, header.php, footer.php etc
And then include them this will help you to keep your code very clean and organized then always name your files with good names not just names like file.php
But name it with its job even if the name is so long but it will help you know what this file do without even open it so you need to know the name your files and folders as well
And also good tip is to write some notes in notepad and save it with your files and write on it notes like the date you create this file and why you create it it also good practice
Then the most important tip is the text editor your text editor will help you doing 70% of the work and there is some text editor that I highly recommend to use like notepad++ and eclipce those text editor is just amazing I can't say about them please search google for them and download them
