Then there are polypropylene slings. These types are resistant of either acids or alkalis, but then certain types of paints and solvents can damage them. There are various other materials for webbing slings and they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. The important thing is to choose one that will last and will not be easily weakened by the load or the environment. If either are overlooked this may affect the safety of the loads and even more importantly, the safety of the people in the workplace.
