Educational toys are playthings aimed at improving the intellectual, emotional or psychological growth of a child when they are played with. They are attractive to both boys and girls alike. Its container has many holes of the same shapes as the blocks. The child has to figure out which hole each block fits into in order to put it back into its container.
Educational toys for older kids can be more diverse and more obviously educational than those aimed at younger kids. Logic and IQ games that are available for certain hand held game consoles. There are also digital games that look like laptops.
There are also more complex educational toys for older kids and even teens, which involve a replica of the anatomy of the internal organs of the human or animal body. Chemistry sets and science experiment kits are also available in toy stores. Kids who are interested in these kinds of toys usually pursue a degree in science or Medicine.
Trivia games are also popular games among older kids. Board games are also popular like Scrabble and Pictionary.
