Usually when I think of the word hibernate, I immediately think about bears. Well it turns out that snakes can also hibernate. Snakes hibernate to get away from the cold. First of all, all snakes do not hibernate. For example, the desert snakes have a different problem and need to get away from heat and dryness. Snakes are cold-blooded and their body temperatures are about the same as the air temperature around them.
