While such extreme predictions have been made in the past, and have usually failed to materialize, Friend G. is an established prophet with a proven ability to precisely predict the occurrence of natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis. According to Great Sun, Friend G made a series of predictions about earthquakes and tsunamis at a meeting with friends in 2005. The story is recounted in Great Sun's book. Friend G had people in attendance draw up a world map. He then proceeded to point out countries that would be hit by natural disasters in the next five years. .He named the counties, the types of natural disasters and the dates when the calamities would occur. As described by Great Sun in his book, all of the predictions came true exactly as predicted by Friend G.

A number of prophets and seers have made predictions about 2012 or predictions generally related to 2012, but none of them are as contemporary as Friend G. and no one has demonstrated the ability to predict natural disasters as accurately as he has. For these reasons, Great Sun believes people need to begin taking stock of their lives immediately. Although Great Sun did not reveal Friend G's prophecy in his book he did include a number of suggestions and exercises meant to help people survive the 2012 disasters and live productively in the new era to come.
