These days, parents are always busy with work, and of thinking how to make more money for their families; children are busy with school and spend most of their time with friends instead of spending it with their loved ones; Making it difficult for every family member to really interact with each other.

While watching movies and the usual family dinner (of pizza) sometimes does the trick, others, however, prefer to spend more time with their family and go out of town or even out of the country. This type of activity bonds the family together and gets everyone to de-stress from their usual chores. Camping is one of the most popular family get-away options.

Planning a camping activity takes time and requires everyone's cooperation. Everyone should agree on the places to go camping on, the budget, and the schedule, and what activities each participant would want to have on camp, hence, camping tips are often very useful. One of the most popular places to go camping are national parks. National parks provide a scenic ambience and recreational activities for campers. The US alone, has about sixty national parks, which covers a vast area with scenic views. Since almost everyone had had their own experience of camping on national parks, people are looking for other places to go camping. There are some who prefer to go on RV camping; so they wouldn't have to put up their own tents and enjoy the outdoors without having to sacrifice the comfort of the indoors. Survival campers prefer to go camping on rugged places, such as mountains and in the woods. While recreational camping usually has ready amenities, survival camping or extreme camping entails campers having to bring their own tent (tent camping) and food. Water and fire is not readily available, so campers must bring and make their own as well. This type of camping can be life threatening as campers will camp on places that are remote and wild animals are usually on the loose and there will be no rescuers on camp, hence, camping safety is not guaranteed. RV camping and recreational camping are most appropriate for families, especially if there are children.

If going with children, it is best to pack story books, lots of marshmallows (for smores), and barbecue sticks. Enough water should be available if camping on sites that do not provide running water; grilled meat is always on the menu on camping trips, campers prefer to grill sausages and steaks, as well as corn for side dish. Most campers store food in cool containers to prevent them from spoiling. Chips and biscuits are also guaranteed to keep campers from starving while waiting for food to be cooked. Most people who go on RV camping has a stove installed inside their vehicle for easy cooking; however, cooking must be done atleast twenty feet away from camp to make sure they don't attract "unwanted" wild animals.
