The individuals who are endowed with the sign of this noble creature are said to possess the characteristics that prideful, goal-minded people who are straightforward and don't like to "beat and around the bush" when it comes to certain situations that require their opinion to be made.

He's also obsessively proud of his home and his family. He's extremely honest, loyal and brave. Most of the time his opinions are incredibly blunt and raw. He doest not lie, and he expects others to be just as honest with him as he is with them. When it comes to relationships, this creature's honesty is a diamond in the rough. Like the five major elements that are believe to make up the world in China, there is a different version of our beloved bird for each element: Wood, Earth, Fire, Water and Metal.

There are also five types of these creatures, each pertaining to one of the five elements that those who live in Asia believe strongly in. They are: Metal, Water, Earth, Fire and Wood.
