In the case of glass panes, remove the frame and the tiny metal nails that held the glass back. Put these in a container because you'll be reusing them when you're replacing the glass. Clean the window frame, particularly the edges where you'll be reapplying the grout and the glass with cleaning cloth and soapy water. Let it dry before applying the grout. Replace the glass and apply more grout around the edges, then carefully nail in the tiny nails and put the frame back on, gently pressing it for the grout to hold it back tightly.

When fixing a hole in a wooden framed wall, especially if it is an irregularly shaped hole, you'll need a piece of plywood and your desired cement material. The first thing that you need to do is to tie a strong piece of string onto a nail. After that, you need to drive a nail right through the piece of plywood. The entire nail has to go through the plywood, not that the head is secured on the board. Push the piece of plywood through the hole and pull the string back, so that the plywood will be held against the inside part of the wall and it covers the hole. Prepare the cement and the flat applicator. Apply the cement all over the wall while holding the plywood securely against the hole with the piece of string. After the hole has been fully cemented over and the plywood is secure enough, cut off the piece of string and smooth over with some plaster. After it's dry, wipe clean and paint over if desired.

If you need to do electrical repairs, always turn off the breaker box first. To be on the safe side, turn on a light switch before turning off the breaker box so that when the lights go out, for sure there won't be any dangerous electricity flowing anymore. Also, ensure that all electrical appliances have been turned off before turning off the main switch to avoid any damages.
