You also have to look at the way in which you cook your meat because you should consider steaming or grilling it instead of frying. This is by far the healthier option for you as it does mean fat is not being retained within it so it therefore means less of it is going into your body.
If you do have to use oil in your cooking then do try to use olive oil or at the very least vegetable oil as these are perhaps the two best. Also look at increasing the amount of fruit and vegetables that you eat and have those instead of little snacks.
As well as your actual diet it is important that you try to get as much exercise as possible because if you are fit then your levels are going to be that bit lower. You do not have to suddenly become mad on fitness as making small changes can really work wonders and it does of course really improve your entire health.
So you shall see that you just have to make some slight changes to your diet in order to help lower cholesterol levels but it is up to you to make these changes and stick to them. You are really going to help your body in general and by lowering these figures you are going to improve things and it does not have to involve taking medication from your doctor.
