"Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" is one of the independently-released movies coming soon on dvd. An altered copy of the famous comic book of the same name, The film tells the story of a 22-year old unemployed man named Scott Pilgrim who finds himself working as a bass guitarist for a garage band where he met and fell in love with a girl named Ramona Flowers. Scott however, is on a mission to combat seven evil ex-boyfriends of Ramona who are bound to kill him. Scott is also on a mission to let Ramona get rid of her past by defeating some people who became part of her life before. The film stars Canadian actor Michael Cera portraying the lead role of Scott Pilgrim. Based on the movie review website Rotten Tomatoes, the film received 80% positive reviews based from the 211 reviews posted. Metacritic gave the film a 69% average score based from 38 positive reviews posted. David Edelstein of The New York Magazine criticized the film adaptation of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World for its lack of consistency in keeping the audiences laughing. Edelstein wrote in his article that Cera's performance throughout the film was futile most especially during his fight scenes. Film critic A.O Scott praised the film for it's infectious content and use of Indie Pop and Rock songs in bringing life to the story. The special edition of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World DVD will be released in November 2010.

The DVD of Sex and the City 2 will be obtainable on DVD in October 2010.
