This chart may help one to understand how the environment relates to different aspects of his life. The aspects of an individual's life may be divided into 9 parts. They include wealth, reputation, love, family and health, travel and helpful friends, career, wisdom, children and creativity. Each of these aspects can be represented by a corresponding part on the bagua chart.

People that use the chart normally believe that it could assist them to have a healthy and prosperous life by avoiding or blocking energies that are negative which could have undesirable effects. Others use it for creating a peaceful atmosphere around the home or for guiding their enterprises. Such people normally divide their houses into various baguas. They usually align the map with the front door after drawing it before applying it to the whole home.

Wealth is usually located at the far left corner. It is normally represented by purple color which they believe attracts wealth. Crystals, green plants, mirrors or a flow of water like a fountain may be placed in this section to bring wealth.

Fame is represented by red and to attract it you may put red crystals or even red flowers from your ceiling. You place the relationship bagua on the far right corner of your home. Hanging pinkish flowers or even pink crystals on the right hand corner of your bedroom can assist you to revive a relationship that exists already or attract a new one.

Family is normally represent by color green. Putting green plants in this area may enhance family relationships. Green, blue or black colors may be used to enhance knowledge. Anything that may encourage learning like a bookshelf may be put around this area. To enhance career, one may place a fish tank or black object around this section.

You may use metal and white color in the appropriate area to enhance children and creativity. You enhance helpful friends and travel by putting a mirror in this area or painting walls in this area using silver or gray colors. Good fortune and health are in the middle of the chart. You may use yellow color to improve your spiritual health and well being.

Many people use feng shui bagua in their homes for various reasons. Many use it as a guide on how to layout and decorate their houses. There are those who use it for healing and spiritual purposes among other uses.
