Germany is among the three leading nations that promote the use and further development of photovoltaic technology, alongside with Japan and France. This increase in demand goes with the reduction of prices of solar panels. Sophistication in technological production has caused the cost of solar power to be reduced significantly and be made more affordable to more consumers.

The solar panels come in three different types such as amorphous, mono-crystalline, and polycrystalline. Knowing the differences between these types is very important because each type is specifically designed for specific functions. These panels come in varying sizes and amount of energy it can produce maximally. The other advantages include reduction in electricity bills, reserved energy that can be consumed on cloudy days, and income-generation though selling off excess electricity produced.

The use of solar panels is still gaining popularity. As we all know, the traditional source for electricity is still widely used today and the electricity sourced out from alternative energy sources still comprise a small percentage despite an annual increase.
