Putting a shower enclosure in your bathroom will require that you choose a shower door for it. There are various types of shower doors you can choose to install on your shower enclosure. The many shower doors you can choose include the following:
- Bi-fold Shower Doors – this kind of a shower door is similar to the doors you see on a lot of phone booths. These fold in when you open them and to close them, you simply push the middle part to lock them in place, just like you would do so with the doors you find on phone booths.
- Bow Front Sliding Doors – this kind of a shower door is a little curved but easily opens and closes to allow a person access to the shower enclosure and to get out of the shower enclosure as well.
- Corner Entry Sliding Doors – this is a space saving kind of shower door since it permist an individual to enter and exit the shower enclosure by way of a corner sliding door that slides to the side of the front panels of the shower enclosure. This is often used on square shower enclosures.
- D-Shaped Shower Doors – a D-shaped shower enclosure will have curved shower doors that either swing out to let the person in or out of the shower area or can be sliding doors that are slightly curved. These curved doors are often what give the enclosure its D-shape.
- Offset Quadrant Shower Doors – these are a little like the doors you will find on D-shaped enclosures but in less curvier shapes. These doors can either be sliding doors or swing-out hinged doors and are set in shower enclosures that are pie- slice shaped.
- Pivot Shower Door – this kind of a door is similar to a hinge door when it opens however instead of the door opening from the side of the enclosure, it is attached to the top and bottom of the enclosure and swings out to open in an offset manner.
The shower door you get on your enclosure is sometimes dependent on the kind of enclosure you have. There are a variety of choices you have for the kind of shower door you may want to get with your enclosure and the choices are also dependent on the shape of your enclosure. For example, if you choose a D-shaped shower enclosure, the kind of doors you can get for this kind of an enclosure can either be a hinged, swing out door or a sliding door. If you choose to get a square shower enclosure, you can choose to have a pivot door, a corner entry sliding door or a bi-fold shower door. The choices you have when it comes to the doors of your shower enclosures will indeed depend on the shower enclosure you choose for your bathroom. If you cannot find the right kind of door for the kind of shower enclosure you want for your bathroom, you may need to choose a different kind of enclosure altogether.
