Benefit #1. By using direct mail you are able to contact thousands of buyers of your products and services and create huge sales. With direct mail you can easily find buyers. My online lists as well as lists of other marketers are filed with curiosity seekers. In order for a prospect to be added to your e-mail list they have to have a pulse and an e-mail address. Therefore, even though the cost to send e-mail is $0.00 the response/conversions to a large e-mail list are low. On the other hand, with direct mail you can rent buyers lists from mailing lists companies. These are individuals who have purchased a similar product or service similar to the one you are marketing. These clients/customers are more serious prospects because they have invested their money in the past on similar products or services. Printing and mailing costs continue to rise which is forcing some Direct Mail Marketers to cut back on their mailings. However, this will benefit you because it means less competition.
