Well to groom yourself like you have just gone straight out of a stylist's beauty center go to a hair technician! But some of us can't get to one because of the issue of paying the stylist and because some parents have 3 young ones under 5 and one of them is tugging at your pant leg for a sweet and wants to go home.So the other alternative is to do your tresses at home with varying results.

The hair straightening device thingy takes 10 minutes to heat up and you just about burn your fingers with it as you try to straighten your hair.Your hair refuses to straighten even though you've run it through a thousand times.Sticky hair product gets into your eyes so your
eyes are snapped shut.

After pulling out the gel you give it another go.This time you succeed, but your third child wants some cereal and some milk. You go and do that then, when the little one is chewing away at his/her breakfast you go back to what you were trying to do.... To always look like you've just gone straight out out of the salon.

But don't trip over the toys as you go out as you will end up at emergency department and then the surgical staff will say "My, your hair looks well groomed, but shame about the broken arm!" Other people who are quite fussy about their appearance might be really impressed and say to themselves, "I am so proud a member of the nursing staff was keen on my hair.Cos' my husband doesn't."

But I believe to always look like you have just stepped out of the salon is to go to the hair stylist.They make great coffee. You get to hear them chat about the pet dog the got caught in the toaster mistaken for lunch. The salon is lovely and clean and all the hairdressing people at the salon are always friendly and helpful.They show you the best trim and colour for your face shape and way that you live and they suggest a no fuss haircut if you are a super frantic parent with toddlers and not a lot of time.I mean,your kids mean everything to you, but you don't want to look like your crowning glory got shaved with a motor mower going backwards on a rugby pitch.You can't really pull off that punk rock look at the work place now can you?

Nothing is too much,it's all sweet and everything is done for you, including that great neck and shoulder massage – you know what I mean? despite the expense it's a valuable thing.
