Baked Apples

Ingredients:
4 baking apples
1 cup raisins, coarsely chopped
1 cup of orange juice
1 tablespoon white wine
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted walnuts, finely chopped and toasted
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch
Procedures:
1. Core the apples. You can make use of a paring knife or a corer. While coring apples, make certain that you put a hollow space in the center of the apple of about an inch wide. In a 9x9 baking dish, coat it with a nonstick cooking spray and let the cored 4 medium size apples stand in the baking dish.
2. In the meantime, in a small bowl, add a cup of coarsely chopped raisins, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, ground cloves, unsalted walnuts, and ground cinnamon. 3. In a bowl, put 1 ½ teaspoons of cornstarch and blend a cup of orange juice. Stir the mixture until the texture is smooth. Pour the apples and bake it at 350 degrees for about an hour. To ensure that the apples are cooked well, have a sharp knife test its softness. Remember to baste it with pan juices and serve while the dessert is still hot.
Apple Loaf
How about a better alternative to your usual dessert recipe? You can do so by trying something out of the ordinary and have some apple loaf for dessert, instead of banana or cheese after a full meal.
Ingredients:
200 gram pack instant cake mix
4 tablespoons water
1 medium size apple, finely sliced
½ cup raisins
1 egg
2 tablespoons oil
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a loaf pan, have the bottom greased and make sure that the oil is equally distributed. Then, mix together 200 grams of instant cake mix, 2 tablespoons of oil, 4 tablespoons of water, a sliced apple, and ½ cup of raisins, egg, and chopped nuts. Once all the mixture are put into one bowl, beat it with a wooden spoon until the mixture turns smooth and well blended.
2. Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake it for 30 to 40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
3. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before completely removing the apple loaf in the oven.
