Are you trying to lose weight simply because you "should be doing it" to "stay in shape"? Are you really supposed to "stay in shape" in the first place? What made you think you are "out of shape"? Simple questions, but not that simple to answer, right? You see, so many people diet and exercise because they should be doing these to "stay in shape", but very few of them are actually able to "stay in shape". Can you find any reason behind it?
The reason is: the first group of people don't have the proper mindset for weight loss, while the second group has it! Let me give you an example. Suppose that you are a CEO of a huge company and have several people working under you. One of these employees comes to office regularly and even leaves rather late, but when you look at what he has actually achieved over the last week, you would find zero results! Why?
The mindset of that employee is not set to achieve anything! His mindset is to merely come to office and leave without doing his duty. He simply reports to office and leaves at the proper time because he "should be doing so", not for any useful purpose or obligation.
Here is another example: you would notice that there is hardly a person who doesn't cast his vote during elections; but ask them why they are voting, and lots of people would say that they are doing it simply because they are "supposed to do it".
You get the point! You eat healthy meals, workout daily, but still don't achieve the results you expect from your efforts. Why? Very simple. You are doing things you are "supposed to do" for weight loss, but since your mindset is not right, you are achieving no results. If you don't have the right mindset, you would eat healthy only for a few days and then get back to your junk food eating habits!
Likewise, you would be exercising only for the first few days and then skipping them altogether! You would be doing this because your mindset is not that of an achiever, but rather a "follower". You are simply following what your doctor or best friend suggested you to follow for weight loss! This is the reason why some people keep "trying" to lose weight while others are able to do it successfully!
The few people who successfully manage to stay slim throughout life do so out of the power of their mindset. Their mindset is set to achieve slim and lean body as well as maintain that body for life, come what may. It is such a determined mindset focused on fulfilling REAL results that helps them lose weight and stay in shape forever!
For the sake of this argument, let me take a look at exercises. I hit the gym regularly, and everyday I see two different types of people there: the first type simply moves the exercise machines aimlessly while the second type works out in a way as if he is very determined about it! If the first group of people are unable to lose weight it won't be because they were exercising wrongly, but because of having an improper mindset!
The sole aim of the first group of people is to tell their family and peers: "You know, I have exercised today for 10 hours!" In contrast, the aim of the second group of people is to achieve RESULTS, no matter how much time it takes. Real achievers don't care about time; rather, they care about the results they are getting.
If your intentions are not right, if your mindset is not correct, you won't achieve anything even if you workout for 10 hours per day. On the other hand, if your mindset is fixed on results, you would achieve a lot by exercising for just 30 minutes a day!
So what should your mindset be like? Your mindset should be like that of a creator who creates things out of nothing. You see, there is nothing that is "supposed to be there", and there is nothing that is made without difficulty. Everything you see around yourself has been CREATED by someone out of nothing, and any kind of creation takes effort!
You cannot expect to lose weight magically; you must have the MINDSET to CREATE weight loss for yourself!
